In this second part, of the two part multilevel workshop, we will cover more advanced topics in multilevel modeling with continuous and categorical variables. Topics include:

  1. Multilevel path analysis
  2. Multilevel path analysis with mediation and moderation
  3. Multilevel latent variable modeling
  4. Analyzing longitudinal data within a multilevel framework
  5. A-priori and post-hoc power analysis

Examples will be demonstrated in R using R-Studio. Syntax and output will be provided for all examples covered in the workshop. Registration and payment can be made directly online. Price is exclusive of tax. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Cheques and Email Transfers.

We offer discounted pricing for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.

Student / Post-Doc
  1. Multilevel mediation and moderation
  2. Multilevel moderated mediation
  1. Multilevel confirmatory factor analysis
  2. Multilevel latent variable modeling
  1. Analyzing longitudinal data within the multilevel framework
  1. A-priori power analysis for sample size
  2. Post-hoc power analysis

This workshop is for anyone interested in furthering their understanding of how to deal with clustered/nested data (ie: students nested within teachers) within a multilevel modeling framework.

Participants are encouraged to have a working knowledge of multiple regression and an introductory understanding of multilevel modeling (see Part I of this workshop here).

A working knowledge of R and R-Studio would be beneficial but not necessary.

For this workshop we will be working with both R (using R-Studio). For those who are not working with any specific software, we provide all syntax and output for each example to allow for participation without the use of any software.

The R software is available as a free download here, and the R-Studio software can be downloaded for free here.

Handout materials and datasets will be provided.

Registration will continue until the workshop begins. If you need to cancel your registration, please contact us at

Cancellations up to 30 days prior to the event will be refunded at 100%. Cancellations between 11 and 29 days prior to the event will refunded at 50%. There are no refunds for cancellations made 10 days before the event begins. Should you need to cancel your registration please keep in mind that we do not cancel any other arrangements you have made such as hotel accommodations.

If you registered by credit card, a 5% transaction fee will apply to any cancellation.
